The Institute has no house line. A fellow is not a mouthpiece; a fellow has their own view. We select for people who study the long horizon from inside a real discipline and a real place — because a contested future looks different depending on where you stand inside it.

A statistician working across public health and development finance, and a graduate student in artificial intelligence. His work sits at a seam most futures writing skips: the human coordination layer of the Global South — the informal, trust-based machinery that moves money, care, and information where formal institutions are thin. He asks whose coordination artificial intelligence is built to replace, and whose it quietly assumes will keep working for free.
